Synopsis

Database as a Service (DBaaS) has been discussed for some time now. Is it a cloud? Can it be in my data centre? Can it be in both?

… The answers are: yes and no! Database as a Service is a way of doing things. Market research suggests that the DBaaS products and services market will grow from $1 billion/year (2014) to over $16 billion/year in the next four years.

So … What is DBaaS? What are the benefits? How does my organisation do it? Will it be sustainable?

Get introduced to some of the architectures, deployment methods and business practices that enable DBaaS. Understand the topics that need to be considered. In this session David Martin, Architect with Oracle Consulting, will offer his observations and learnings from nearly 10-years of developing and implementing “as a Service”.
